About Us

Transform A Child  is a faith-based, ‘love thy neighbor’ ministry. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to helping those in need, regardless of ethnic, racial, class, or religious differences.

Approximately 15 million people in Kenya live in extreme poverty, and the economic and social disruption caused by the global pandemic has significantly increased that number – with children feeling the greatest impact.

Because children are often most vulnerable when living in the grip of poverty, we launched a ‘sponsor a child’ initiative to help children in Kenya have access to the resources they need to do well despite their poverty. Without access to basic needs, such as housing, water, nutrition, health, sanitation and education, children have very little opportunity to thrive.

At any given time, 50,000 to 250,000 children wander the streets of Kenya. They often find themselves sheltering in ‘homes’ made of earth, sand, cane, mud or grass and are at a very real risk of becoming easy targets of sexual violence or sex-trafficking. Even if Kenyan children grow up relatively unscathed, they bring few skills to the country’s workforce and find it difficult to provide for themselves.

At  TAC , we work with local churches and other organizations to identify Kenyan children who are especially vulnerable and then facilitate a connection between each one and a sponsor. At only $39 a month, a sponsor can help a child enjoy basic needs, such as access to medical care, food and tutoring until he or she is 18. Just as importantly, sponsors play an important role in unleashing a child’s potential so that he or she can begin to thrive and dream of pursuing what we know are the infinite possibilities in life.

We believe that every person is of infinite value; that every person matters; and that every act of love and compassion has eternal value. We have no ulterior motive other than to simply work in Jesus’s name.
